About my Ready-to-Wear Jewelry
My ready-to-wear* line was inspired by the many visitors who stopped by my studio the first year I was in business. They loved the dramatic chain maille chokers and necklaces I made, but also expressed interest in seeing much smaller versions of the same designs.
I explored taking tiny sections of a weave and turning it into a stand-alone piece. Some patterns, like Byzantine, effortlessly made the transition. Others needed to be coaxed into an appealing variation of the original design. Ultimately, the challenge of rethinking big into small resulted in some of my favorite jewelry designs.
The small pieces are user friendly. They retain the unique patterns of traditional chain maille weaves but are lightweight and easy to wear. Equally appropriate for work, outings and evenings, they are made with high quality materials and are priced competitively. They quickly became the backbone of my business.
What Ready-to-Wear (RTW) means at Pat Brazill Chain Maille Jewelry:
I make my RTW pieces in small batches in my New England studio.
My RTW designs are unique, but they are not one-of-a-kind pieces.
My RTW pendants are on sterling silver chains that come in varying lengths.
My RTW jewelry is made of sterling silver or sterling silver and gold-fill combinations.
* In the world of fashion ready-to-wear generally refers to mass-produced, commercially made items. Please note that my ready-to-wear items are handmade by me. I use the term to differentiate between my custom work and my smaller designs that I make in multiples.

This line of bracelets and necklaces, like RTW, is handmade. These are my most popular bracelet and necklace designs. Because the right size makes all the difference in how some bracelets and necklaces fit, these items are sized specifically for you. You’ll find these items, along with my earrings and pendants, in my online store.
